In this journal, George writes of trout fishing with Kay in Braddock Creek. He fishes for "chubs" and other fish in Trout Spring and McIntyre Creek, and sees a mink on the banks. Meeting with Mr. Barclay and Mr. King, in his hunting he comes across a grouse, a dead deer, quail, and woodcock. He hunts accompanied by his dogs Speck, Boy, and Nat.
